The Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program invites you to the Red White and Blue BBQ, coming back to the American Legion Fairgrounds at 160 McClure Street in Canton on Saturday October 17th. Come taste the best BBQ around and support homeless veterans.

For the past 5 years, the Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program has hosted an annual coat drive for homeless Veterans. They have collected 17K+ coats to date. Veteran Service rganizations from GA and neighboring states come on distribution day to bring these coats to the veterans in their community. These coats are collected as fast as they are sorted.

The Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program is announcing two photography programs for Veterans and their spouses to start in August 2026. These classes are free of charge and are limited to 10 persons in each class. Learn more!

Learn to fly fish for free. October 15, 22, and 29, 2026. 9:30 to 2:00 with lunch provided.

Save the date! The annual Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program golf tournament fundraiser will be on Friday May 21, 2027 at the Bridgemill Athletic Club. We'd love to see you there!

Join us on the first Saturday in December from 10:00am-2:00pm for our annual pancake breakfast for Veterans and their families with a special guest direct from the North Pole.

This event is on December 21st, the longest night of the year - the longest night that homeless veterans have to live on the street.  We will have a candlelight ceremony at Sundown at the Cherokee Veterans Park.
