Veteran Mental Health Coalition
This coalition exists to support veterans in recovering from the effects of war. We have brought together several veterans organizations to act as the front-line support to these heroes, guiding them to the appropriate resources to get the care and services they need and deserve.
OUR MISSION: BRINGING REAL CHANGE TO VETERAN'S LIVES.
CCHVP is a registered 501c19 Veteran Non Profit (EIN 58-6067723). Our focus is helping homeless Veterans in Cherokee County with food, limited housing, clothing, VA disability claims, home of record, and other vital support.
THE NEED IN CHEROKEE AND ACROSS GEORGIA
The State of Georgia ranks third among states for the largest number of homeless veterans in the Balance of State Homeless Areas (rural areas which make us 152 of the 159 counties in Georgia).
HOW DO WE HELP HOMELESS VETERANS?
The Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program is comprised of a group of veterans and volunteers dedicated to helping homeless veterans overcome the stigma and consequences of mental health issues and homelessness. We work tirelessly to provide a multi-solution approach to moving homeless veterans from homelessness to dignity and a forever home.
OUR PROGRAMS
In conjunction with our partners, we provide several programs for veterans to honor their service and connect them with their community.
